Acrides/26 years old: The challenge is to continue working for children and families in vulnerable situations - president

Praia City, 07 Mar (Inforpress) – The Association of Disadvantaged Children (Acrides) celebrates this Thursday, 07, 26 years of action, and the biggest challenge is, according to its president, Lourença Tavares, to continue working towards of vulnerable children and families

In an interview with Inforpress, Lourença Tavares said that the gains are many, but she highlighted, among the many, the creation of the "Extracurricular Activities" program to help the "tri-repeat" students at the Achada de São Filipe school, and the fact that she now sees young volunteers from this NGO trained thanks to the volunteer program.

"So it's seeing mothers in situations of exclusion becoming entrepreneurial mothers, it's Acrides making its great contribution to a more child-friendly justice system for victims of sexual abuse, it's a lot," she added.

However, 26 years later, she said that the challenge is to continue working for children and families in vulnerable situations
