Praia, October 30 (Inforpress) – The new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration and Communities stated that his priorities follow the Government's program, emphasizing that the current international landscape demands "great care" in conducting Cape Verdean foreign policy.
José Luís Livramento, speaking to the press today after being sworn in by the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, emphasised that he intends to continue the work already undertaken, while also bringing his own personal touch to the portfolio.
“(…) These are the ones established in the Government’s program, considering the issues already resolved and those that will arise in the coming times, bearing in mind that the international landscape, namely the geopolitical situation, requires great care and intelligence in approaching this new international political environment,” he specified.
According to the government official, there is already a program, a Council of Ministers, and a prime minister who will provide guidance, but each minister always brings a personal touch to their mission.
