
Praia City, 17 Nov (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verde national football team and its coach Pedro Brito, known as Bubista, are among the three finalists for the CAF Awards 2025 in the categories of National Team of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively.
According to the African Football Confederation’s announcement, the Cabo Verde senior national team—qualified on 13 October for the 2026 World Cup—is competing for the title alongside Morocco’s senior and U-20 teams at the CAF Awards 2025 Gala, to be held on Wednesday, the 19th, in the Kingdom of Morocco.
Bubista, who led Cabo Verde to its first-ever qualification for a World Cup stage, to be held in 2024 in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, is competing against the Morocco U-20 coach Mohamed Houhabi and the senior Morocco coach Walid Regragui.
Goalkeeper Vozinha, who was also in the running for the CAF Awards 2025, remains in the top 10 African Goalkeepers of the Year.
