Praia, Apr 9 (Inforpress) - The National Assembly already has a project to implement a system for the automatic transcription of speeches made by deputies, as well as the installation of a video surveillance system to reinforce security.
The information was given by the parliamentary technicians to the secretary-general of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal, Anabela Cabral Ferreira, this Wednesday during her visit to the Cape Verdean ‘parliamentary house’, where she had the opportunity to see the different departments and find out about the modernisation plans underway in parliament.
The opportunity, according to a National Assembly press release, gave the Portuguese delegation the chance to visit the Regie Room, a space designed for holding and monitoring the broadcast of ordinary sessions.
"The Portuguese delegation expressed interest in the procedures for recording, storing and accessing audiovisual material by the national media. The parliamentary technicians (...) shared this information and emphasised that the emigrant community living in Portugal is one of the most frequent spectators of the plenary sessions," according to the note.
