Espargos, Sep 12 (Inforpress) - The fourth edition of “Pedra de Lume in Concert”, held on Thursday night in the crater of the Pedra de Lume salt mines, in Sal, paid tribute to the artist Ildo Lobo and featured a special appearance by Brazilian Maria Gadú.
The event, which celebrated 50 years of Cabo Verde's independence, was delayed by more than three hours, but the crowd that attended the crater remained steadfast, demonstrating the consolidation of the show as one of the island's main cultural attractions.
The first part of the concert was dedicated to Ildo Lobo, with the participation of a collective of Cape Verdean artists, who took to the stage around 10:30 pm, to perform some of Ildo Lobo's most memorable songs.
Names such as Albertino Évora, Rui de Bitina, Djilas (brother of Ildo Lobo), Ceuzany, Constantino Cardoso, Callu Bana, Mário Marta, Mirri Lobo and Nancy Vieira performed on stage.
