UNTC-CS guarantees ‘full compliance’ with the court's final decision on the National Council

Praia, Apr 1 (Inforpress) - The secretary-general of the UNTC-CS announced today that the appeal against the impeachment of the National Council meeting has already been submitted to the Supreme Court of Justice and assured that the trade union centre will fully comply with the final decision.

Joaquina Almeida was reacting at a press conference to the judgement handed down by the Praia District Court, which considers all the alleged facts about the challenge to the meeting of the National Council of the National Union of Workers of Cabo Verde - Central Trade Union (UNTC-CS), held in November 2021, to have been proven

“Whatever the decision, we will comply scrupulously, without adding or removing a single comma, and according to the legal maxim “dura lex, sed lex” (the law is hard, but it is the law), assured the Secretary General of the UNTC-CS.

Joaquina Almeida said that the trade union is awaiting the decision “with serenity and confidence” in the Supreme Court and stressed that the decision of the Sotavento Court of Appeal is not final.
