Porto Novo/Planalto Leste: Lagoa community welcomes authorities’ response to local problems

Porto Novo, 28 August (Inforpress) – Today, the community of Lagoa do Planalto Leste, Santo Antão, welcomed the response from the local authorities to the problems facing the area in terms of water supply and sanitation.

Residents reported that, as part of a joint initiative by the municipal councils of Porto Novo and Ribeira Grande, waste was collected in the locality, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment in Lagoa, in the Planalto Leste.

The community has already received a water tanker in response to the water shortage affecting the population, as observed by Inforpress.

Community leader Alberto Silva thanked the authorities for this intervention, expressing the hope that “solutions to the problems facing Lagoa do Planalto Leste will continue to be provided on a regular basis”.
