Ribeira Grande, Mar 27 (Inforpress) - Manuel Rodrigues, known as Naiss Pritim, is a well-known figure in the theatre scene in Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão, with a career marked by ‘dedication and passion’, but also by a ‘constant struggle’ to ensure that theatre is valued in the municipality.

Speaking to Inforpress, Naiss Pritim said that since she was very young she has been working to ensure that theatre gets the recognition it deserves in the municipality, and although she has achieved important things, she still faces barriers that make it difficult for theatre culture to advance in the region.

Naiss's passion for theatre began in childhood, during second grade, when she had her first contact with drama.

‘I've been doing something in the cultural field since I was very young and my dream was to record the play I did in second grade, which depicted everyday life,’ he recalled.
