Weightlifting: Éder Soares represents Cabo Verde in the African Olympic Weightlifting Championship

Praia, Apr 21 (Inforpress) – Bodybuilder Éder Soares will represent the country in the African Olympic Weightlifting Championship, senior, which will take place from the 20th to the 28th of this month in Moka, Mauritius, announced the Cape Verdean Weightlifting Federation (FECAH).

Éder Soares, according to the national federation of the sport, will compete in the -89 kg category, in what will be Cabo Verde's first participation in an international competition of the Olympic sport.

The event is part of the “Pathway” towards the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games (LA028).

The Cape Verdean sports mission is headed by the president of FECAH, Carlos Albino dos Santos, who will also participate in the Congress and Elective Assembly of the African Olympic Weightlifting Federation, WFA.
