Praia, Apr 9 (Inforpress) - The 8th edition of Tim Week, promoted by UNIC-CV from 12 to 17 May, will bring innovations such as a Team Sport tournament - electronic games, bringing together students, professionals and companies to discuss trends in technology and new digital economies.
Organised by the Coordination of the Informatics and Multimedia Technology Discipline Group, with the support of the Dean's Office for TID Areas, Tim Week offers a range of activities, with the highlight being the inclusion of an electronic games tournament, which is the great novelty of this edition.
According to the organisers, the tournament aims to promote healthy competition and follows the growing popularity of e-sports among young people, as well as providing a platform to debate the future of electronic games in Cabo Verde.
According to Domingos Andrade, who is responsible for organising the electronic games tournament, the idea came about after a conversation with the tournament director, Tubarão Paulo, who will also contribute his vast experience in events organisation.
