São Vicente: Uni-Mindelo creates social fund to encourage study and research

Mindelo, May 6 (Inforpress) - The University of Mindelo (Uni-Mindelo) has created a Social and Student Support Fund (FASE) to stimulate study, entrepreneurship and research, in partnership with the Câmara de Comércio do Barlavento (CCB).

The presentation and inauguration of the space for its operation took place this morning in Rua Patrice Lumumba, next to the Uni-Mindelo premises.

The event, according to rector Albertino Graça, kicks off a new activity based on supporting students in their various academic activities, namely the payment of their first year's tuition fees.

This means that students with financial difficulties can, according to the same source, use this fund to pay tuition fees and then repay the loan, even after finishing the course, ‘with no interest on the loan and no interest on arrears’.
