São Vicente hosts the third edition of the Volta Soncente Trail

Mindelo, May 8 (Inforpress) – The island of São Vicente will host the third edition of the Volta Soncente Trail from Friday to Sunday, whose challenge is to cover, in three days, 33 trails on the island for a total of around 115 kilometers, the organization reported today.

According to a note from the group "Caminhada d’Vav", for this edition, which starts in the city at 5:00 am on Friday, eight walkers are lined up: Adriano Pascoal, Dery Tomasia, João José Graça Ferreira, Manuel Jesus Delgado, Manuel Jesus, Matilde Dias, Nuno Tavares and Vitte Oilides Silva.

“The return trip involves all members of the walk who work as logistics staff, providing food, energy and hydration at support points. The walkers will spend the night in São Pedro on Friday and in Calhau on Saturday, with support from the Fishermen’s Association of São Pedro and Nhela de Calhau,” the same note explained.

Arrival at Praia da Lajinha is scheduled for Sunday, around 4:30 pm, and the end will be at the same starting point, at Álvaro “Vav” Cruz’s house, in Alto São Nicolau.
