São Vicente/Chuvas: “The scenario is one of unprecedented catastrophe, so now is the time for unity” – PAICV

Mindelo, 12 August (Inforpress) – Today, the Councillor António Duarte described what happened in São Vicente as a result of the recent rains as ‘an unprecedented catastrophe’ and called for everyone to come together, as the coming days ‘will not be easy’.

On behalf of the councillors of the City Council of São Vicente, elected on the PAICV lists, António Duarte offered ‘words of solidarity and a hug of comfort and condolences’ to the families who lost loved ones. 

‘We are returning from Salamansa and at this moment we have a broad understanding of the damage caused by the rains. The scenario is one of unprecedented catastrophe,’ said the same source, who said that.
