São Filipe: Former Beltches bilge to be transformed into a multicultural space – councilor

São Filipe, Aug 8 (Inforpress) – The city council of São Filipe will support the Beltches Community Development Association in mobilizing partnerships to implement the project to renovate the old bilge and transform it into a dynamic, multicultural community space.

The information was provided to Inforpress by Lia Barbosa, Councillor for Culture at São Filipe Municipal Council, after visiting the site on Thursday together with some partners.

The rehabilitation of the old bilge, which was concessioned to the Beltches Community Development Association, is part of the ‘Beltches CulTurArt’ programme, which the municipality intends to implement, and aims to restore and revitalise the old bilge and convert it into a meeting point for art, training and cultural entrepreneurship.

As the association does not have the technical and financial means to carry out the project, the municipality is mobilising resources and strategic partnerships to make the proposal a reality, said Lia Barbosa.
