Santo Antão: Mayor of Ribeira Grande presents projects to the Government in Praia

Ribeira Grande, Sep 12 (Inforpress) – The mayor of Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão, presented to the Government, during a visit to the capital, proposals for the construction of a reception/rehabilitation center and the regularization of the employment relationships of elderly caregivers.

In a press release sent today to Inforpress, the municipality reported that Armindo Luz traveled to the city of Praia to participate in the presentation of the Multisectoral Strategic Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PEMAC) and to meet with the different ministries.

The City council of Ribeira Grande also reported that Armindo Luz has already established “a fruitful working meeting” with the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire.

According to the same source, "one of the most significant milestones" of the meeting with the minister was the concern with regularizing the employment relationship of elderly caregivers, who have now been transferred to the Ministry's staff, as well as strengthening support for the most vulnerable families, especially in terms of health-related issues.
