Cidade da Praia, 2 September (Inforpress) - The Santa Maria Beach Festival in Sal is confirmed for 12 and 13 September, maintaining its schedule despite the storm in São Vicente that caused other municipalities to cancel their festivals.
According to posts on the Facebook page of the City Council of Sal, the 33rd edition of the Santa Maria Beach Festival has already confirmed two major attractions: international artist Mo'Kalamity and the legendary group Tabanka Djaz from Guinea-Bissau.
Mo'Kalamity, renowned for her captivating voice and style that blends reggae, soul and African rhythms, promises a memorable show in September, bringing to Sal the energy of one of the most striking voices in contemporary reggae.
Although other municipalities cancelled festivals in solidarity with the island of São Vicente, which was devastated after the storm on 11 August, the Sal Municipal Council decided to maintain the programme, ensuring that the Festival continues to celebrate music, culture and the unity of peoples.
