Santa Cruz hosts Community 365 Bootcamp to boost sports projects with social impact

Praia, Aug 14 (Inforpress) - The municipality of Santa Cruz will host the first edition of the Bootcamp Comunidade 365 from September 15 to 20, an initiative that promotes the training of sports agents to generate social and community impact through sport.

Promoted by the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee (COC) and the Cape Verdean Olympic Academy, the project is implemented by WeCare.

According to Angelson Vieira, manager of the Comunidade 365 Bootcamp, speaking to Inforpress, the project was created as an initiative of the Comunidade 365 program, launched in 2024, with the aim of certifying the good governance of organizations that use sport to promote community social impact in Cabo Verde.

The choice of Santa Cruz, he added, is due to the fact that it is an area with many sports agents and where there are "several business ideas" that can be developed with the tools this program offers.
