Porto Novo, Jun 11 (Inforpress) - Today, the delegate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in Porto Novo (Santo Antão) praised the ministry's commitment to protecting the Natural Park of Tope de Coroa, on the Planalto Norte.

Joel Barros told Inforpress that in recent years there has been a lot of investment in the park, specifically in the construction of physical barriers to delimit the protected area, helping to protect the endemic biodiversity that was being destroyed by the animals.

He confirmed that in the next six months another investment will be made in the Tope de Coroa park, this time to the tune of 2,200,000 contos for projects such as the construction of a protective wall, the building and remodelling of benches, and the production and fixing of plants throughout the park.

The work, which will create 40 jobs, is being carried out by the Tope de Coroa Association, which has been one of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment's partners in protecting the Tope de Coroa nature park, located on the northern plateau, in the interior of the municipality of Porto Novo.
