Fogo: “A Pele da Terra” (The Skin of the Earth) promotes environmental education through art - project promoters: Constructores

São Filipe, August 7 (Inforpress) - The Projecto Vitó Association highlighted on Thursday the importance of the local partnership that enabled the realization of the artistic project "The Skin of the Earth," an initiative that brought together young people from Cabo Verde, Germany, and Colombia around environmental awareness.

The executive director of the association, Herculano Dinis, said that the organisation’s main mission was to coordinate the logistics and create the necessary conditions in partnership with Dr Teixeira de Sousa Secondary School, involving teachers, pupils and parents.

For Herculano Dinis, choosing art as a tool for environmental education represents an innovative way to bring young people closer to issues related to nature conservation.

In addition to traditional lectures, presentations, and field activities, the project sought to diversify awareness-raising strategies through artistic, cultural, and scientific expressions.
