Festivities/São Filipe: Municipal committee with a plan to protect children and adolescents
22/04/25 - 09:38 am

São Filipe, Apr 22 (Inforpress) - The Municipal Committee for the Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents met on Monday, 21, to draw up the plan of activities to be developed during the period of the traditional São Filipe festivities.

Among the planned actions is a meeting with event organisers and the São Filipe City Council's Councillor for Culture to reinforce the collective commitment to protecting minors during the ongoing São Filipe Municipality and Bandeira festivities, which end on 1 May.

The program also includes an awareness campaign with the motto “Protecting children and adolescents from social ills”, which will be aimed at establishments such as hotels, guesthouses, bars and restaurants, with the aim of raising awareness among those responsible for these spaces about the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of minors, especially during the festive period.

Another “important measure” will be the “strict monitoring” of the entry of minors to night-time events, with special attention to those held in Presídio square, where cultural activities such as popular dances are traditionally held.
