Praia, July 25 (Inforpress) –Today, the Cape Verdean men's 3x3 basketball and beach volleyball teams won silver medals. The karate won bronze, as did the mixed volleyball and chess teams at the CPLP Games in East Timor.
According to information provided by the Institute of Sport and Youth (IDJ), Cabo Verde won the silver medal in men's 3x3 basketball, after losing the final to Angola, but in the women's competition they failed to secure the bronze medal in the dispute with Mozambique.
In beach volleyball, Cabo Verde closed the day on Thursday by winning the silver medal in the men's competition with the duo Denzel Ramos and Micael Barbosa, in a final played against Portugal, and bronze in the mixed competition with Denzel Ramos and Catarina Lima, after a victory against Mozambique.
In the karate category, Cabo Verde won the bronze medal today through Rania Rodrigues, an athlete from São Vicente, in the -53kg category.
