
Praia, July 22 (Inforpress) – The coordinator of the Swimming Club of the Portuguese School of Cabo Verde today challenged the country, especially the capital, to invest in swimming infrastructure and equipment in order to reduce the loss of lives at sea.
Dário Teixeira spoke to the press after a visit City Council of Praia, accompanied by the national junior swimming champion team.
During the meeting with the mayor, the coordinator discussed the difficulties the team has faced in practicing the sport.
He highlighted that although they are able to train in the Portuguese School pool, they want to see this practice extended to other children, teenagers and adults so that "each person can at least survive in the water."
