Cape Verdean Boxing Federation demands “solid foundations” for possible change to World Boxing

Praia, Apr 25 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cape Verdean Boxing Federation said today that he had not received any official communication about a possible exit from AIBA to join World Boxing, and that any decision in this regard requires “solid foundations and transparent dialogue”.

In an interview with Inforpress, Manuel Monteiro highlighted that a change of affiliation must be “duly justified” and accompanied by “clear explanations”.

“When we talk about disassociating ourselves from one institution to join another, it is essential to understand the reasons behind this proposal. So far, no one has presented us with a convincing argument,” he said.

The president of the Cape Verdean Boxing Federation (FCB) stressed that the federation has a "solid trajectory" of more than 20 years affiliated with AIBA, maintaining all the rights arising from this connection.
