Cabo Verde received more than 1.2 million guests in 2025, up 6% compared to 2024 – INE

Praia, Apr 10 (Inforpress) – Hotel establishments in Cabo Verde hosted a total of 1,248,052 guests in 2025, representing an increase of 6.0 per cent (%) compared to 2024, the National Statistics Institute (INE) reported today.

According to statistical data, the highest flow of guests was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025, with 400,653 arrivals and 1,702,222 overnight stays, confirming a growth trend across all quarters of the year.

Analysis by type of accommodation revealed that hotels remain the main choice for tourists, accounting for 82.7% of total guests and 85.2% of overnight stays.

They are followed by apartment hotels, with 11.6% of arrivals and 11.9% of overnight stays, while guesthouses and pensions represent a smaller share of the market.
