Praia, April 7 (Inforpress) - The Minister of Culture and Creative Industries highlighted at the opening of the Atlantic Music Expo 2026 the event's role in promoting artists, cultural exchange, innovation, and consolidating Cabo Verde's position in the Atlantic.

Augusto Veiga was speaking at the opening of the 12th edition of the Atlantic Music Expo 2026 (AME2026), which takes place from Tuesday, April 6, to Thursday, April 9, in Praia, when he emphasized the importance of the event as a strategic platform for the cultural sector and creative industries.

The minister affirmed that AME elevates Cabo Verde as an Atlantic and global reference for music.

"The Atlantic Music Expo and the Kriol Jazz Festival are fundamental instruments for promoting cultural tourism, boosting the creative economy, showcasing our artists, and projecting Cabo Verde internationally," he declared.
