Fogo: Suspension of immigration visa applications to the USA raises concern

São Filipe, Jan 15 (Inforpress) – Recent communication regarding the suspension of the granting of immigration visas for Cape Verdeans to the United States of America has caused concern among families, emigrants and professionals involved in the migration process.

Although the situation is not yet fully clear, the emotional and social impact is already being felt in the community, particularly among those awaiting immigrant visas to the United States.

The issue has been widely discussed in streets, cafés and services in São Filipe.

For Fausto Rosário, who works in support of emigrants, particularly in document translation and visa scheduling, this is not the first time Cabo Verde has faced restrictions on emigration to the USA.
