SCM to Distribute More Than 10.6 Million Escudos in Copyright Royalties in 2025

Praia City, Dec 30 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean Music Society (SCM) will distribute, in 2025, a total amount of 10,606,611 Cape Verdean escudos in copyright and related rights, announced today the institution’s vice-president, João Miranda.

The information was disclosed at a press conference held in Praia, where the SCM president highlighted the distribution as one of the most important moments in the life of the society.

“Distribution is a major moment in the life of the society, because our mission is to collect and distribute. Therefore, distribution is very important for our members and for the life of the society (…) for 2025, the total amount to be distributed is 10,606,611 escudos,” he emphasized.

João Miranda explained that the entire process was conducted in strict compliance with the distribution rules in force, approved by the SCM General Assembly, using WIPO Connect technology.
