Praia City, Dec 11 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Family Affairs said today that initiatives aimed at people with disabilities and former inmates, integrated in the IMPACTAR Programme, seek to ensure equal opportunities and strengthen social inclusion policies nationwide.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony for the programme’s second edition, which promotes entrepreneurship and social impact entrepreneurship, Fernando Elísio Freire stressed that the main goal is to ensure “special treatment and assertive measures” for the most vulnerable groups.
According to the minister, the Government aims to “clearly demonstrate that all citizens must have equal opportunities, regardless of their circumstances,” highlighting, in particular, the importance of providing second chances to former inmates seeking reintegration.
He also reinforced that policies for people with disabilities remain a priority.
