Football: Bubista announces squad list for Al Ain International Cup in Dubai

Praia, 07 Nov (Inforpress) – National football manager Bubista has announced his squad list for the Al Ain International Cup, which will take place in Dubai during the November international window.

The competition brings together the national teams of Cabo Verde, Iran, Egypt and Uzbekistan, and forms part of the preparation for the 2026 World Cup, following the Blue Sharks’ historic qualification last October.

Cabo Verde will make their tournament debut on 13 November against Iran, with the winner going on to the final on 18 November to face the winner of Egypt vs Uzbekistan. The third-place play-off is scheduled for the 17th.

The tournament forms part of the national team’s preparation schedule ahead of the 2026 World Cup, to be held in June in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
