Government announces completion of 450 social housing units in Praia by February 2026

Praia, 3 October (Inforpress) – The Minister of Infrastructure, Territorial Planning and Housing announced today that the construction of social housing in Achada Limpo and Zone K will be completed by February 2026, with a total of 450 houses

Victor Coutinho spoke to the press after a site visit to social housing in Achada Limpo, in the city of Praia, with the aim of monitoring the progress of the works, as well as the interventions carried out under the Praia Housing Rehabilitation Programme (PRH).

According to the minister, the visit is also part of World Habitat Day, which will be celebrated next Monday, 6 October.

In this area, he said, 45 houses are planned, with completion scheduled for December, while in area K, near the University of Cabo Verde (UNICV), more than 400 housing units are under construction, with two blocks to be delivered by the end of this year and the last block in February 2026.
