Nova Sintra, Sep 30 (Inforpress) - The hospital on Brava Island began offering ophthalmology consultations today, for the first time with appropriate and dedicated equipment for this service, donated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Health Delegate for Brava Island, Júlio Barros, speaking to the media, expressed his satisfaction with the progress, emphasising that the island had taken ‘another step forward in the area of health’, as eye examinations and consultations can now be carried out locally.

The delegate expressed his gratitude for the partnership between the Ministry of Health and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, considering it ‘a privilege’ for the municipality to have this new service.

According to Júlio Barros, patients will be the greatest beneficiaries, as they will be able to avoid the hassles and costs of traveling to neighboring islands.
