Challenges of Cape Verdean universities in Portugal debated in Mindelo and Praia

Mindelo, 26 September (Inforpress) – On 29 September and 2 October, respectively, the cities of Praia and Mindelo will host a conference to discuss the challenges and future of Cape Verdean university students in Portugal.

The conference, entitled ‘Higher education: decision-making, transition and challenges for Cape Verdean students in higher education in Portugal’, is organised by the Centre for the Economics of Education and NOVAFRICA at Nova School of Business and Economics (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), with the support of the Cape Verdean Ministry of Education.

The event, according to information advanced in a press release by the Government of Cabo Verde, should bring together representatives of the Cape Verdean and Portuguese educational sector, researchers, professors and political decision-makers.

The idea, according to the same source, is to create a space for sharing knowledge, reflection and dialogue about the opportunities and obstacles in the frequency of higher education.
