Football/World Cup 2026: Bubista promises confident and organized team against Cameroon

Praia, Sept 08 (Inforpress) – National football coach Pedro Brito, widely known as Bubista, said today in Praia that the Cape Verdean national team will approach Tuesday’s match against Cameroon with confidence and organization.

On the eve of the fixture, to be played at the National Stadium in Praia, Bubista assured that the squad “is motivated and mentally stable,” stressing the team’s determination to play with “organization, the will to win, and self-confidence,” despite the strength of the opponent.

“We want a physically fresh and emotionally prepared team, because it will be a highly charged match. It is crucial to remain calm and confident. In this qualification round we have already played five matches without conceding a goal, which demonstrates defensive consistency,” he highlighted.

Regarding attendance at the National Stadium, the coach expressed satisfaction that tickets are sold out, reminding that part of the proceeds will support families in São Vicente affected by the severe weather of August 11.
