Football/World Cup 2026: Bubista expresses desire to win the next two games and qualify for the World Cup

Cidade da Praia, 29 Aug (Inforpress) – Coach Bubista said today that the strategy for the double World Cup qualifying match is to achieve a good result against Mauritius and beat Cameroon at home.

Cabo Verde will begin by visiting Mauritius on 4 September for their seventh match, which will be played at the Côte d'Or National Sports Complex Stadium in Mauritius.

For this match, according to the national coach, the objective is to win the game, although he admitted that he respects the opposing team. 

‘We have to keep this in mind, and we urge others to think the same, because only by winning both matches can we qualify for the World Cup. There is no other way,’ he said.
