
Mindelo, Aug 19 (Inforpress) - Electra reported today that it has resumed water production in São Vicente, since Monday, with 325 tons per day, thanks to the successful repair of two of the four motor pumps at the João Ribeiro intake station, in Chã de Alecrim.
In a statement, the company reported that work to restore infrastructure affected by heavy rains in São Vicente is making significant progress.
At the same time, two backstage areas of the Matiota Desalination Plant are already in operation, contributing to increasing the island's drinking water production capacity."Du
ring today, Tuesday, Electra's technical teams continue work aimed at recovering and putting into operation another motor pump, which will allow for further reinforcement of production," says the note, which informs that water distribution should begin next Thursday, in a phased manner.
