Praia, Apr 16 (Inforpress) –Today, Eveline Ramos, the deputy of PAICV accused the Government of “shelving the tender report” for the asphalting of the road that connects Calheta to Tarrafal and of “remaining silent”
“Today, almost three months after the end of the competition, we are surprised to learn that the government shelved the competition report and remained silent,” the deputy pointed out.
Eveline Ramos also accused the Government of “not fulfilling the promise made to Santiago Norte in 2016,” to pave the aforementioned road section, adding that the population needs to know why the Government “shelved the tender report”.
At a press conference in Praia, the parliamentarian elected on the lists of the African Party for the Independence of Cabo Verde (PAICV, opposition) for Santiago Norte said that at the beginning of January the Government, through Estradas de Cabo Verde, launched a national public tender for the design and execution of the contract for the improvement and asphalting of the road that connects the two cities, which ended on the 24th of the same month.
