Praia, São Filipe and São Vicente included in second phase of joint program on human security

Praia, Apr 16 (Inforpress) – The municipalities of Praia, São Filipe and São Vicente will benefit from the second phase of the joint program between the Government and the United Nations, which aims to promote awareness and defense of human security.

The information was released today by the United Nations in Cabo Verde, in the city of Praia, during the launch of the second phase of this program.

Entitled “Promoting awareness and advocacy of the human security approach as a strategy to overcome the current crisis in the Municipalities of Praia, São Filipe and São Vicente”, the program aims to strengthen awareness and advocacy on people-centered human security.

On the occasion, the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations, Patrícia de Souza, highlighted the importance of investing in human security in a “country of peace” like Cabo Verde, which, as she highlighted, “has made great progress in development issues”.
