Football/Brava: Local authority promises to support Brava's team in the Independence Cup

Nova Sintra, Apr 8 (Inforpress) - The sports councillor of the Brava Municipal Council today expressed the municipality's ‘total willingness’ to support the Brava national football team in the 2025 Independence Cup, as well as any other sport on the island.

Speaking to Inforpress, João Monteiro said that the municipality is available, and in tune with the Brava Regional Football Association (ARFB), to support the team in its participation in the Inter-island tournament and provide it with better conditions for this.

“We are here to support sport and we will do what needs to be done together so that we can represent our island with dignity,” he assured.

Regarding sport in general, which has recently been in decline in Brava, the councilor said that the department is already in contact with the presidents of the associations to see the possibility of reactivating some sports.
