Praia: New city council team now includes nine councilors

Praia, Apr 2 (Inforpress) - The New City Council team, elected on 1st December 2024, will be made up of nine councillors for the 2024-2028 term, under the leadership of Francisco Carvalho, of the PAICV.

According to a press release from the Praia municipality, Francisco Carvalho, mayor, will be responsible for the portfolios of Cooperation, Planning, Urbanism, Firefighters, Security, Civil Protection, Municipal Police and International Relations with Immigrant Communities.

Councillor Bequeline Morais Silva will take on the portfolios of Tourism and Youth, while Councillor Carlos Alberto Dias will be in charge of the areas of Environment, Agriculture, Sanitation, Fishing, Housing and Green Spaces.

Fernando Jorge Pinto will be responsible for the Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Legal Affairs and Information System departments.
