Football/World Cup 2026: Cabo Verde's national team plays Angola today

Praia, Mar 25 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean football team faces its Angolan counterpart today at 5:00 pm local time (3:00 pm in Cab Verde) at the 11 de Novembro Stadium in Luanda, in a match corresponding to the sixth round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Cape Verde leads Group D, with 10 points, followed by Cameroon with 09, Libya with 08, Angola with 07, Mauritius with 04 and Eswatini with 01 point.

Cape Verde coach Bubista spoke to the Angolan press about today's game against Angola, highlighting the importance of the match and the objectives of the Cape Verdean team.

The coach reinforced that the team maintains the same playing principles, always with the ambition of winning and maintaining the leadership of the group, but recognized the quality of the opposing team, considering Angola one of the best African teams today.
