
Praia, May 07 (Inforpress) – The coordinator of the BIN@ network said today that Cabo Verde has the conditions to establish itself as an Atlantic innovation platform, highlighting the archipelago’s geographical position, economic indicators and the potential of national institutions.
Pedro Coelho was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the opening of the international conference BIN@Cabo Verde 2026, held for the first time in Africa, in an initiative bringing together universities, companies, researchers and other stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem.
The event, taking place today and Friday, May 08, at the University of Cabo Verde, gathers policy-makers, researchers, entrepreneurs and international experts to discuss the role of innovation in the development of outermost regions.
According to him, the BIN@ network was created in 2010 with the aim of establishing an open innovation platform capable of promoting collaboration among universities, companies, research institutes and other stakeholders linked to science and entrepreneurship.
