Praia, Feb 05 (Inforpress) – The president of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS) today described as “good news” the resumption of the preferential access agreement for Cabo Verdean products to the United States market, considering that it helps stimulate the country’s business sector.
Marcos Rodrigues said that the measure will also support entrepreneurs in exporting their products, reacting to Inforpress to the news of the resumption of preferential access for Cabo Verdean products to the US market under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
“It is good news, because although Cabo Verde is not a major exporter to the United States of America, it does have some areas of national production that had already been exporting to the US,” he said.
“For us, for Cabo Verdeans, it is the market of nostalgia where we place our products, but it is good news that we welcome with appreciation and we hope for very positive progress along this path,” the CCS president stressed.
