São Vicente: Minister promises solutions to refurbish the Mindelo Cultural Centre and CNAD after identifying problems

Mindelo, 10 July (Inforpress) – The Minister for Culture and Creative Industries stated today in Mindelo that the Government will seek solutions to refurbish the Mindelo Cultural Centre and the CNAD after identifying problems.

António Duarte provided this information following his first visit to the CCM and the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD) as head of the ministry.

According to the governor, the purpose of the trip was to get a firsthand look at the operation and state of conservation of the two cultural facilities, "considered fundamental" for the cultural sector in Cabo Verde.

‘We realise that there are problems. Structurally, the buildings need some maintenance, both the Mindelo Cultural Centre and the CNAD. We have taken note of these issues and will work on possible solutions that can restore these buildings to their former glory,’ he said.
