São Vicente: The Kavala Fresk Festival kicks off on Saturday with 50 food stalls and a tribute to the Tubarões Azuis

Mindelo, 10 July (Inforpress) – The 14th edition of the Kavala Fresk Festival will take place on Saturday 11th on Avenida Marginal in Mindelo, offering around 50 food and entertainment stalls, culinary diplomacy, exhibitions, sport, music and appearances by former and current Tubarões Azuis players.

In statements to Inforpress, Josina Fortes, from the organizing company MariVentos, assured that everything is ready for the start of the event, with a program lasting approximately 14 hours.

The festival officially kicks off at noon with the traditional opening ceremony enlivened by the Municipal Band, followed by the opening of restaurants, bars, grills and other food service areas.

In the run-up to the festival, this Friday evening will see the usual “Gastronomic Diplomacy” event, an initiative aimed at promoting the sharing of flavours and cultures through food.
