Praia, Jan 4 (Inforpress) – The urban art program from the Community Project in the Xalabas Center – di Kumunidadi – in Achada Grande Frente officially started this Sunday the International Public Art Festival, which runs throughout the month.
This community intervention project aims to activate local development in the neighborhood of Achada Grande Frente through the creation of alternative tourist circuits, using urban art as a tool for local promotion.
Initially scheduled for April 2020 and postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival, according to the organization, will be held according to current conditions and security needs, with a longer duration that will allow a less intensive program of events and gradual presence of national and international artists.
The 15 invited artists, national and international, will work and live in the neighborhood of Achada Grande Frente, following the same artistic residency modalities of the workshops developed previously, but over a prolonged period and with several artists invited to work simultaneously.
