Praia, Nov 19 (Inforpress) – The creation of the conditions for hygiene in schools was a “powerful weapon” in the fight against COVID-19, consider the teachers heard by Inforpress in the context of the World Toilet Day that is observed today.
In an interview with Inforpress, a group of teachers from the City of Praia highlighted the role hand hygiene played in the success of combating COVID-19 and defended the need for all schools to have a “safe and clean” bathrooms.
The director of the educational center in Safende, Helena Silva, spoke on the primary role the bathrooms play in schools, especially in times of pandemic, where hygiene has been a powerful weapon in the fight against COVID-19.
According to the teacher Alcídia Horta, with the pandemic the schools received not only from the Ministry of Education, but also from parents and guardians an extra support for the strengthening of bathrooms with hygiene materials, and was also set up a scheme for hygiene since the entrance as inside the school.
