Praia, Aug 25 (Inforpress) – Algerian referee Abid Charef Mehdi will lead the match between Cabo Verde and South Africa on September 1 at the National Stadium in São Filipe, on the third game of Group D for qualification of World Cup ‘2018.
According to the Arbitration Commission of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Abid Charef Mehdi will be assisted by Etchiali Abdelhak from Algeria and Hilvilla Anour from Tunisia.
The fourth referee will be in charge of the Algerian Ghorbal Mustapha, while the Malian Haidara Mamadou Sidy has been appointed to assist the referee.
Burkina Faso and South Africa lead Group D Africa qualifying for the World Cup in 2018, with four points each, followed by Senegal with three, while Cabo Verde has not yet scored in the first two matches.
