Praia, Oct 8 (Inforpress) – The national football team of Cabo Verde beat Liberia 2-1 on Thursday, in a game counting down to the third round of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, thus taking second place in Group C.
In a game in Accra (Ghana), a field on loan to Liberia, the home owners advanced to the scorer, through Van-Dave Harmon, in the 45th minute of the first half.
The goal was a blow for Cabo Verde to close the first half, as the game was balanced and the two teams had not caused major situations of danger.
Meanwhile the Blue Sharks’ reaction was in the opening minutes of the second half, precisely in the 52nd minute when Jairo Monteiro shook the nets for the team led by Bubista, thus leaving everything open to the rest of the game.
