WHO points to “Mexi Mexê” as an example in promoting physical activity in the African region

Praia, May 5 (Inforpress) – The World Health Organization (WHO) points to the National Program for Physical Activity and Health, known as Mexi Mexê, as an example in promoting physical activity in the African region.

On its official website, WHO points to Mexi Mexê as the project that African countries have to develop in order to adapt their national action plans on physical activity.

It therefore recommends an approach that considers the system as a whole for the effective implementation of physical activity interventions in different African countries.

“The effective implementation of a national response to physical activity goes beyond the scope of a single institution,” the United Nations Health Organization states.
