Praia, Sep 28 (Inforpress) – The WebLab Project coordinator, Luísa Chantre, considered the project as a means of massifying digital culture that has generated opportunities for the adoption of work tools, since its implementation, to 14 thousand Cabo Verdians.
Luísa Chantre made this consideration Sunday in statement to Inforpress in the scope of the training the project has carried out, this time to 35 children and young people from Safende who, through the “Smart Safende” project, has received training in the areas of robotics and multimedia.
“The training courses taking place in the areas of robotics and multimedia were chosen by the association, but we have more areas for training. Right now, our aim is to massify digital culture and keep young people busy in a useful way,” she said.
The idea of training, she stressed, is to transform Safende into a smart neighborhood, with concrete actions to stimulate the use of ICT (information and communication technologies), because, according to him, the purpose of the WebLab project is to bring technologies to communities. With this training many young people learn to develop a ‘website’ and develop ‘upgrades’ to open their own business.
